Battle of the Sexes
Let's face it. Holidays are "lost" days for a lot of teachers. While your neighbors might resort to showing a loosely standards-based movie all period, why don't you channel the insanity into a themed review game? Every Valentine's Day, I split up the boys and girls in my class and have them challenge each other in THE BATTLE OF THE SEXES- VALENTINE'S DAY EDITION. The goal of the game is to have one of two lonely contestants win Cupid's last arrow. The first team to answer 11 questions correctly wins the arrow for their contestant. If there is a tie, students enter a sudden death match in which they answer random bonus questions that have nothing to do with economics.
